More often than not, a passion for something can stem from our experiences in childhood. Perhaps such was also the case for Sandra Bullock. Having studied vocal arts and ballet, Bullock also had the chance to land roles for some of her mother’s operas. Later on, this fascination for the art led her to perform in some of her school’s stage plays, including productions for Three Sisters and Peter Pan.

Finishing her studies with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama, Bullock then made her way into the acting scene. Beginning her career under the spotlight with minor roles, she eventually got her first shot to fame thanks to her performance in 1993’s Demolition Man. That popularity rose to even greater heights a year later when she starred in the action-thriller flick Speed. Since then, Bullock has become a well-known figure in the industry and has starred in other notable films such as The Blind Side, The Heat, and Gravity.
