Chris Rock | Maserati GT

Before he made his way into the entertainment industry, Chris Rock worked at fast-food restaurants to help with whatever personal loans he had. Afterward, he gave stand-up comedy a shot. Like a fortunate case of “at the right place at the right time,” during one of Chris’ stand-up gigs, Eddie Murphy just so happened to be present among the audience. Eddie then willingly became the at-the-time aspiring comedian’s mentor and even helped him land a part in Beverly Hills Cop II.

Since then, Chris has worked on projects such as the Saturday Night Live comedy show, The Longest Yard, and Grown Ups, with the latter having him star alongside his real-life friend Adam Sandler. After Grown Ups made its way to theaters, Adam got each of his co-stars a gift, a token of appreciation. Well, this gift in question just so happened to be a $200,000 Maserati GT. Now that is something we call “a real friend.”
