LEE MAJORS | 1953 MG TD FOUR-SEATER

Lee Majors is a veteran of the Hollywood industry. His degree of esteem came from his iconic TV acting career, which brought us characters such as Heath Barkley in The Big Valley and Colonel Steve Austin in The Six Million Dollar Man. And just like The Fall Guy actor’s long-running career in the industry, this classic 1953 MG TD four-seater has its colorful history.

MG has been among America’s most famous automotive companies, and John S. Inskip was one of the company’s distributors after World War II. He was known for dealing with Rolls-Royce and Locomobile cars in New York. In 1953, this particular MG TD was Inksip’s star of the Motorsports Show in Grand Central Palace, New York. It initially saw a sale to publicist Homer Harmon, which he bought for his 16-year-old daughter, Joy. The classic car would stay in her possession until 1963, and she eventually sold it to Majors. He then kept the car for 30 years and even changed its color several times.
