Aside from being dubbed as “Queen of All Media”, Winfrey holds the distinction for being the richest African American of the 20^th century. All of that wealth isn’t just meant to create a luxurious lifestyle for her family. If there’s one thing that the media mogul is most passionate about, it would be philanthropy.

It was in 1998 when she established Oprah’s Angel Network, which was primarily meant to support different causes that are close to Winfrey’s heart, as well as provide grants to different organizations globally. This means they no longer have to rely on loans just to help. At present, they have managed to raise more than $80 million, with 100% of the funds going straight to charity.
